Mev. Bonita Koch, voorsitter van die OOV, wat saam met haar span vir ons bystaan en ondersteun. ’n Besondere woord van dank vir jul ondersteuning met die aanbied van die 4M-atletiekbyeenkoms. Thank you, Mr. Peter Whitmore and his team, for always going the extra mile with a smile. We truly appreciate your efforts. A special thank you goes to our ladies in the admin offices: Mrs Elizabeth Ulyate in finance, Mrs Nita Volschenk, Marian Neethling and Michelle Davey at reception. Your patience with us, especially when we need something urgently or at the last minute, does not go unnoticed. ‘n Spesiale dankie aan die Skoolbestuurspan, Nadene van Aswegen, Adéle Bothma, Hannatjie Naude, Carla Uys, Cindy McFarlane, Karin Leibbrandt, Melina Smit en Quinton Meades. Ons waardeer julle visie en leiding. IN CONCLUSION During the Founders’ Day celebrations, I reminded the learners of our heritage from 164 years ago, with the motto of Mary Lyon, who believed that ‘educating the head, the heart, and the hand’ is equally important in education. This timeless principle speaks to a holistic education that goes beyond academics. For our learners, it is about developing their intellect, cultivating empathy, and honing skills to serve them in all aspects of life and those around them. For our dedicated teachers, it is a call to nurture knowledge, character, and capability within each learner. Hierdie reis van groei en leer – gewortel in ‘n tradisie van 164 jaar – vorm steeds ons skoolgemeenskap en inspireer ons om saam te streef na uitnemendheid, veerkragtigheid en integriteit. Dankie aan ons leerders, personeel, oudleerders en families vir hul bydrae tot die ryk tapisserie van Hoër Meisieskool La Rochelle. Mag ons voortgaan om hierdie waardes uit te leef terwyl ons met hoop en doelgerigtheid na die toekoms kyk. Thank you to the Jack Meyer Art Centre and Frank Petersen Music Centre for their partnerships with La Rochelle. Mnr. James Genis, kringbestuurder van kring agt tree in September 2024 af. Ons is dankbaar vir sy ondersteuning, insig en wyse raad van die afgelope paar jaar. The officials of the WCED, Mr. Petersen and their staff for their support. Ewan Abrahams en mev. Sonnet Vorster. The new School Governing Body of La Rochelle GHS has been elected for the next three years. Many thanks to these parents and educators for their time and skills that they donate to our school. Dankie aan die koshuispersoneel wat uit hul pad gaan om die koshuis ’n huislike atmosfeer te gee. ’n Spesiale woord van dank aan mev. Sonnet Vorster (superintendent) wat aftree aan die einde van 2024. Sterkte aan me. Adéle Bothma wat die leisels by haar sal oorneem. Dankie ook aan mev. Lida Hendrikse vir die bestuur van die koshuis en geboue. Dankie aan Feedem wat ons leerders elke dag bederf met heerlike maaltye. Thank you to Mrs Karelien Venter, Chairlady of the Alumnae Union, for keeping us in touch with our old girls and for organising and coordinating the reunions.
