secure a victory of 22-12. Only Interschools remained – the most important game of the season. We started really well against Gim, but failed to turn opportunities into points. Ten minutes into the second half we were 0-20 down but the team then turned out one of the best 25 minutes of the season. We held onto the ball and started playing with the potential we had had all along, scoring three unanswered tries in the last 25 minutes, converting only one of them. Unfortunately we still lost 17- 20 after a valiant fightback, but despite the defeat, we were nevertheless proud of the solidarity and character the boys showed in this game. Everything came together; we had just left it too late. I would like to thank the following people: • Our sponsors for their support and continued faith in this team and school • All our supporters, Old Boys and extended Boishaai familia • All our parents for their commitment to the boys and team as well as their contributions and active interest along the way • Ben and Lianda Pretorius, parents of the captain, who always helped and supported the team • The management team for making sure the boys always have everything they need • Dr Uys, Anzél Brink and Ryno Rust for being the best medical and conditioning team • David Sadie, Arno Blom, BJ Botha (who will be pursuing a new adventure in Ireland) and Conrad Barnard for their insight, coaching contributions and unwavering support • The team manager Vicus Kruger for all he does for the team off and on field • Oom Johnny vir sy passie en vir alles wat hy vir die span doen • All our families without whom this is not possible To the team: thank you for the season. We fell short on some of our goals, but we remained focused and always

After the June/July holiday during which most of our boys played for representative teams, it was time to gear up for the last three games of the season against Boland Landbou, Bishops and Paarl Gimnasium. In the game against Boland Landbou, we struggled to stay focused; that ultimately cost us the game (22-26).
