MEKAYLA GRIFFITHS en KATHERINE SMIT: Elsa Klompje Wisseltrofee vir Toewyding tot die Kunste. Hierdie leerders ontvang verskeie hoogaangeskrewe toekennings in hul onderskeie kultuur disiplines soos drama, sang, kuns, orkes en musiek. Albei leerders vertolk rolle in die skool se musiekblyspel. Hierdie leerders staan uit vir hul besonderse bydrae, passie en volgehoue toewyding aan die kunste. MEGAN JANSEN: Die Lizette Rabe Prys vir Innoverende denke. ’n Boek- sowel as Kontantprys wat geskenk is deur een van La Rochelle se oud-Leerders, Prof. Lizette Rabe vir die mees kreatiewe leerder in Matriek – ’n “uit-die-boks” denker, iemand wat bestaande paradigmas bevraagteken, iemand wat net anders dink. SAFIYYA MOERAT: Culture Woman of The Year. Safiyya is the school choir chair lady who was category winners at the Paarl Valley Eisteddfod. She is a member of the La Rochelle Marimba band who receives recognition of outstanding achievement in breaking the Guinness World Record through unwavering dedication, perseverance, skill and passion. Safiyyah participated in the school musical, a theatre adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, in a lead role as Mrs Pots. She also participated in the Paarl Valley Eisteddfod for flute, where she received a gold plus certificate. She is a member of the L’armonia orchestra, who were named category winners at the Paarl Valley Eisteddfod. As a member of the school’s renowned vocal ensemble, Con Spirito, participated in the Stellenbosch University National Ensemble Competition, where they were awarded Best Great Classical Ensemble, category winners, as well as the overall winners of the National Schools’ category. Safiyyah’s dedication to the arts, her gentle, though passionate nature, exemplifies a true cultural spirit that will remain an inspiration to her fellow Larries. NINA VOIGT: Wisseltrofee vir die Hoogste Prestasie in Akademie en Kultuur. CAITLIN HENDERSON: Investec Prys. ISELLE ACKER: Wisseltrofee vir die Hoogste Prestasie in Akademie en Sport. CLAIRE LE ROUX (sport) AND LEIGH ADAMS (culture): True Blue Shield for Sport and Culture . This shield is for a Matric learner who has involved herself in the culture or sport programme with kindness, passion, integrity and determination. This young woman is a wonderful example of someone who is true to herself and the values of La Rochelle. She has an unwavering commitment to La Rochelle. She is enthusiastic, courageous, and never gives up, not even when she faces adversity. This award is for a pupil who we are proud to send out into the world and is a true reflection of what it means to be a Larrie. CARA WILSON: Veelsydigste Sportvrou Erkenning vir uitstaande toewyding en passie oor verskeie sportdissiplines: Lid van die Eerste Hokkiespan, Lid van die Swemspan, Lid van die 4M-atletiekspan, Neem ook deel aan Boland-Sentraal-atletiek.
