BEHEERLIGGAAM

Akademiese en Kulturele Uitnemendheid Akademiese prestasie bly ’n kernfokus. Die 2024-matrieks het nie net almal geslaag nie, maar het ook uitgestaan met uitsonderlike gemiddeldes en onderskeidings. Ons leerders het aan nasionale en internasionale olimpiades deelgeneem, en ons kultuurspanne het in musiek, drama en debat groot sukses behaal. Die produksie van “A Theatre Adaptation of Beauty and the Beast” was ’n hoogtepunt wat die kreatiwiteit en samehorigheid van die skoolgemeenskap ten toon gestel het. Tradisies soos die Colour Run, Stigtingsdag en die White Tea dra by tot die unieke karakter van La Rochelle. Facilities, Infrastructure and Stewardship As an SGB, our responsibility is to ensure that the school’s resources are managed wisely and that the facilities support the needs of every learner. This year saw significant upgrades: bathrooms, air conditioning, tennis courts, hostel paving, the opening of Huis DC le Roux, and the new Navarre Annex hostel nearing completion. Planning for swimming pool heating and additional classrooms remains a priority as the school expands. We feel honoured that La Rochelle continues to serve as a marking centre for the National Senior Certificate Examinations, which reflects the trust placed in our school and the professionalism of our staff.

Dankbaarheid en Erkenning Ek wil graag my opregte dank uitspreek teenoor elke lid van die SBL vir hul toewyding en harde werk. Julle leiding van die verskillende komitees – Akademie en IT, Kultuur, Fasiliteite, Finansies, Koshuis, Skakeling, Bemarking, Sport en Welstand – maak ’n tasbare verskil. ’n Spesiale woord van dank aan die personeel, ouers, alumnae en vrywilligers wat elke dag hul tyd en energie gee om La Rochelle se nalatenskap te versterk. Looking Ahead To the Class of 2025: As you prepare to leave La Rochelle and embark on new adventures, I wish you every success and happiness. You have made us proud – not only through your achievements, but also the way you have exemplified our values and contributed to the spirit of our school. You will always be part of the Larrie family. As we look to the future, let us continue to nurture excellence – not only in results, but in the way we care for and uplift one another. By remaining true to our values, we guarantee that La Rochelle’s legacy will shine for generations to come.
