CROSS COUNTRY Our school’s cross-country team achieved remarkable success this year, showcasing determination and teamwork. The season kicked off with a series of challenging meets, where students displayed impressive endurance and sportsmanship. Our athletes trained rigorously, and their hard work paid off. Several runners secured top placements in the district championship, with two athletes qualifying for the state competition. Their commitment to improvement and support for one another was evident throughout the season, fostering a strong team spirit. In addition to individual accomplishments, the team won the “Most Improved” award for overall performance, highlighting their dedication and growth. Our younger athletes showed great promise, setting the stage for future success. The coaches organized additional training sessions and team-building activities, which helped cultivate camaraderie and resilience among the runners. Moreover, the team participated in community events, promoting fitness and encouraging local youth to join cross country. This season’s positive impact extended beyond athletic achievements; it instilled a sense of pride and unity within the school. As the year concludes, the cross-country team looks forward to building on this year’s successes and aiming for even greater heights in the upcoming season. Késha October – Captain
