We wish Nalene Visser and Ayesha Hendricks and their team the best of luck for the journey awaiting them in 2024. To the Matrics of 2024: Enjoy your last year as a Larrie. Live in the moment and cherish all the lasts, because before you know it, you will be joining us as members of the Larrie Alumni! We bid you farewell as we sing: Soet klink ons die naam, La Rochelle, La Rochelle! En Avant!

We concluded the busy second term with the annual Father-and-Daughter Evening , which aims to create an opportunity for fathers and daughters to bond in a girls’ school. Our Master of Ceremonies, Myles Minnaar, entertained us with his ‘dad jokes’, which contributed to the ‘blast-from-the-past retro’ theme. We were able to satisfy the appetites of hungry fathers and daughters with delicious burgers and fries. On Founders’ Day , the Larries were dressed in white, blue, and yellow in honour of celebrating La Rochelle’s 163rd birthday of excellence. The Student Council had the privilege during Assembly to present a humorous skit depicting moments from the school’s history. We also held a quiz with general knowledge questions, where the class with the most points was rewarded with delicious doughnuts, while every Larrie received a flower cupcake.
