‘and … Scene!’ After auditions were held at the beginning of the year, the Drama Club welcomed 22 Larries into its midst. During the first term, the focus was ‘ The Actor ’ with the emphasis on voice acting, which saw groups recreating an extract from a production using a voice recording. The emphasis in the second term was on ‘ The Character ’. This included poetry group exercises and monologues during which different accents were perfected – a fascinating experience

with South African teenagers attempting accents ranging from Russian to Scottish! ‘ The Creation ’ in the third term explored various aspects of film-making. Different genres, short films, camera angles and lighting were analysed. The curtain closed with presentations of extraordinary film creations at our ‘ Grammy Awards Ceremony ’.
