by Hoër Jongenskool Paarl se tennisbane plaasgevind. Ons het dus Dinsdae en Donderdae vroegoeggend onder spreiligte geoefen, en alhoewel dit ons sig (en gevolglik ons vaardighede) ietwat beperk het, het dit wel vir ’n paar humoristiese oomblikke gesorg! Ons tweede-oefengroep en jonger spelers het ook met hul oefeninge op Woensdae en Vrydae volgehou. Due to another increase in Covid cases towards the middle of the year, the annual All Girls Festival was once again cancelled, but some of our girls did manage to compete in smaller local tournaments. Winter training was also able to continue on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, thanks to enthusiasm from both the players and our committed coach, Johnnie Zulch. Ons wag steeds geduldig op die aankondiging dat kompeterende skoolsport soos normaal mag verloop, maar tot daardie geleentheid kom, sal ons nie toelaat dat ons gees deur die aanhoudende struikelblokke in ons pad gedemp word nie. We will be back again next year – willing and able (and hopefully with better luck)!
