Ladies’ Brag

We celebrated yet another fantastic Ladies’ Brag function on 1 August at Ashanti Estate. This year we welcomed our Boishaai moms, coaches and teachers to a ‘Jungle Fever’ festivity. We enjoyed an evening of dinner, dancing and laughing. The Ladies’ Brag is a fundraising event for our school. All proceeds go towards keeping the costs of the Matric dance as low as possible as well as towards the gift which the Matrics give the school once they leave. In order to raise money, the Ladies’ Brag committee (consisting of myself and volunteer moms: Claudette du Plessis, Charlene Haarhoff and Marietjie Jones) approached sponsors and organised a

raffle event which consisted of wonderful prizes. The main prizes included two sets of Tanzanite jewellery from Prins and Prins Jewellers and vouchers from top-end hotels like Last Word and Taj, to name but a few. Numerous other prizes were also up for grabs. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of all our sponsors! I extend a special word of thanks to my committee members, without whom this event would not have been possible. All in all the evening was a great success. We look forward to hosting next year’s Ladies’ Brag and trust that it too will be an unforgettable event.
