For the seventh successive year Boys’ High and Girls’ High (BHGH) took part in this competition as a combined team. This year the team won the competition for the first time and prevented Paarl Gimnasium from this honour for the fourth successive year. THE FINAL SCORES OF THE COMBINED TEAMS WERE: BHGH 993 (boys 494, girls 487 + records 12 points) PGim 929 (boys 524, girls 390 + records 15 points) BloemRoos 697 (boys 331, girls 361 + records 5 points) • Luciano Custodio (U17) was the only PBHS athlete who won three events of which one was a meeting record. • PBHS athletes improved three meeting records. • PBHS also won the U14 and U15 sections for boys with PGim as the winner of the U17 and U19 section for boys. • Boys’ High athletes obtained 24 first places, 23 second places, 2 third places, 22 fourth places, 15 fifth places and 9 sixth places, excluding the positions obtained by the different relay teams.
