INTERHOUSE SWIMMING GALA Mass participation was the order of the day at this year’s interhouse swimming gala, an evening event where all had great fun. The results were as follows: 1. Bellevue 26 Om die opening van Hoër Meisieskool Paarl se nuwe swembad in te huldig is die Interskole-swem vanjaar vir die eerste keer deur HMS aangebied. Stian Olivier het die meeste punte by hierdie geleentheid behaal en is derhalwe aangewys as die Victor Ludorum. HJS 290; Paarl Gimnasium 213. FRANK MYBURGH TWILIGHT GALA Our team led by Angus Solomons were victorious in the Boys’ section at this gala, winning the shield for the seventh year in a row. RONDEBOSCH UITNODIGINGSGALA Die 12 seuns wat op 7 Februarie aan hierdie gala by Rondebosch deelgeneem het, het met ’n tweede plek weggestap. Die puntestand was soos volg: Rondebosch 136 Hoër Jongenskool 128 Curro Durbanville 113 SACS 96 Wynberg 94 BOLAND AQUATICS LEAGUE To be part this league presents a great opportunity for the boys every year. We competed in four relay galas (Bloemhof Gala, Fastest Four at Bridge House, Paarl Girls’ High Gala and Paarl Boys’ High Gala), winning all of them. SA SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIPS We were very fortunate that five of our boys were chosen to compete in this gala as part of the Western Cape team, namely Angus Solomons, Eric Slabbert, Caleb Peceur, Mark Peceur and Louw Esterhuysen. SA RANGLYS Ons is baie trots op die volgende seuns wat die nasionale ranglys behaal het: Kobus Koch (9de in die 100 m-vlinderslag en 12de in die 200 m-vlinderslag) en Bob Fick (3de in die 100 m-vlinderslag en 2de in die 200 m-vlinderslag).
