STRAPPING

FINISHED PALLETS A pallet cap is essential for every pallet. This is to help minimise damage to the top cartons, and reduce contamination.

TEMPERATURE RECORDERS All Consignments (Lorry load or Container) must have a temperature recorder.

PALLET CAP

The pallet must be clearly marked on all four sides to identify that it contains the temperature recorder.

The temperature recorder should be placed inside a carton of grapes midway up the pallet. The carton must then be marked to identify where the temperature recorder is.

Record this pallet on the pallet inventory that you send to Origin Fruit Direct.

The pallet must be sufficiently strapped to prevent movement of boxes and the result ing damage It is CRITICAL to ensure the base layers are tightly strapped during building the pallet.

WARNING Thermacouple wires are not allowed into Stores, these wires must be removed before supply.
