AFSKEIDSBOODSKAP – MEV.
I honestly believe that the road to genuine happiness lies in being of service to others. When you walk out of these gates at the end of the year, whether it is to study or begin a career, my best advice is: If you want to be truly happy in your calling, choose to follow it with the intention of serving your community, not simply to earn money. Gratitude is one of the simplest, yet most powerful ways to live a happy life. When you focus on what you have, rather than what you lack, your whole perspective shifts – challenges become lessons, and ordinary moments become blessings. As Melody Beattie writes: ‘Gratitude turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity.’ Carry that attitude of gratitude with you, and you will find joy wherever life takes you. In closing: Matrics of 2025, I hope that whenever you hear this song by Karen Zoid, or see a glass that is half full, you will take a moment to reflect. Ask yourself: What am I currently doing to ensure that my glass is half full? And then, remember the following simple guidelines on how to lead a happy life: Speak positive words and think positive thoughts – positiewe woorde en denke; Spend enough time out in nature – gaan verken ons mooi land; Be of service to others – wees diensbaar; Be grateful – wees dankbaar. My beste wense vergesel julle, matrieks van 2025. Mev. Elsabé Conradie
Karen reminds her son to look out for and experience the beautiful things along the way; to share and enjoy what nature has to offer, the beaches, the sea, the coast, the mountains. After all, we live in such a beautiful country.
Zoid sing verder:
“Bly bewus Van jouself
In other words, believe in yourself, do not underestimate your potential, but do not think too highly of yourself.
Sy moedig haar seun aan om:
“En as jy ooit voel Die lewe is net een groot gesuffer
Reik jou hande uit En help ’n ander Met minder As jy
