The True-Blue Shield for Sport and Culture. This shield is for a Matric pupil who has involved herself in the culture or sport programme with kindness, passion, integrity and determination. This young woman is a wonderful example of someone who is true to herself and the values and principles of La Rochelle GHS. She has an unwavering commitment to La Rochelle GHS and is extremely loyal. She is enthusiastic, courageous, and never gives up, not even when she faces adversity. This award is for a pupil who we are proud to send out into the world and is a true reflection of what is means to be a Larrie. MEGAN JANSEN BALLET Participated in the National Cecchetti Ballet Examination, Intermediate and obtained 73%. Received Cum laude at the Paarl Valley Modern Dance Eisteddfod, for her group dance in the jazz category. Intermediate level 91%. Trophy winner at Paarl Valley Eisteddfod for Best 15–16-year Jazz group dance. Half Colours – New Award – Ballet. Half Colours – New Award – Dance. MIA VALENTINE DANCE Category winner at the Paarl Valley Eisteddfod – Modern Dance Solo 13 years – Cum Laude. Half Colours – New Award. RUBY RAIN HEFER

Participated at the Western Cape Sport Aerobic, Fitness and Hip Hop Championships that was held on 13 – 14 May 2023 in Durbanville. She qualified to represent Wester Cape, as a member of her respective team at the South African Sport Aerobic, Fitness and Hip-Hop Championships that was held in Camps Bay, Cape Town from 23 – 25 June 2023. Almarie achieved Western cape Colours in the following category: Sport Aerobics and Fitness. Half Colours – New Award. ALMARIE JOUBERT Received Cum laude at the Paarl Valley Modern Dance Eisteddfod, for her group dance in the jazz category. Intermediate 91%. Trophy winner at Paarl Valley Eisteddfod for Best 15–16-year Jazz group dance. Half Colours – New Award. JORDAN HESS Received Cum laude at the Paarl Valley Modern Dance Eisteddfod, for her group dance in the jazz category. Intermediate 91%. Trophy winner at Paarl Valley Eisteddfod for Best 15–16-year Jazz group dance. Half Colours – New Award. YSABELLA FOURIE Trophy winner at Paarl Valley Eisteddfod for Best group dance for the 13-14 year category in Ballet. Half Colours – New Award. RONEL STRAUSS Trophy winner at Paarl Valley Eisteddfod for Best group dance for the 13-14 year catergory in Ballet. Half Colours – New Award. SUMMER HARTZENBERG Certificate for dedication, creativity, and leadership in Dance. Captain of the Dance club. Selected as lead dancer and dance captain of school production, Dirty Dancing. Participated in the National Theatre Dance Association hip-hop dance competition: MOVE on the 1st of October, in Sea Point, Cape Town. Receives 2nd place, gold in solo the division, 3rd place gold in senior group division (Supreme), 1st gold in senior trio division. She qualifies for the national competion to be held in Sea Point, Cape Town. Full Colours – Re-Award. LARA WHATNEY Certificate for dedication, creativity and leadership in Dance. Vice-Captain of the Dance club. Participated at the Global Dance Supreme Competition on the 6th-8th October in Johannesburg. Received 2nd place, 87%, in the Intercontinental Teen Group Section. Full Colours – Re-Award. KIERA BATTS Participated in the Stars of the Universe International Performing Arts Cup in January 2023 where she received her SA Colours. Full Colours – New Award. SKYE HILLEBRAND Participated at the Global Dance Supreme Competition on the 6th-8th October in Johannesburg. Received 2nd place, 87%, in the Intercontinental Teen Group Section. Full Colours – New Award. SHAAN ADAMS Behaal ’n onderskeiding in haar Graad 12 Moderne Dans Eksamen by die South African Body of Dance in Oktober 2022. Volkleure – Nuwe Toekenning CELESTE DE FREITAS Participated in the South African National Pro-Am Open Dance Championship in December 2022. She achieved first places in the youth section for Single Dance Division, International Latin Section and American Smooth Ballroom Section. She also competed in the Adult Section of the American Smooth Ballroom Section for which she also achieved a first place. Full Colours – New Award . KARLI JANSE VAN VUUREN SINGING Prize winner at the Paarl Valley Eisteddfod for Singing 16 years. Half colours – Re-award. ERIN MEYER
