In practice specific fertilisation with Ca does not occur. If a soil is limed to pH (KCl) 5.5, it is about 80% Ca-saturated and there is no need for additional Ca-fertili sation. The practice to lower a high Mg-content in certain soils at such pHs with gypsum applications, is in the case of wine grapes without scientific evidence.
