Style Event

In Februarie het ons die jaarlike Style Event aangebied. Baie geluk aan Anderson Lombard wat nie net as Mnr. Style gekies is nie, maar ook as Mnr. Fotogenies! Vaughn Krumbock was kort op sy hakke en Evan Roos het die derde plek ingeneem. Brandon Hattingh is deur sy mededeelnemers tot Mnr. Persoonlikheid verkies. In celebration of our 150th birthday, our master of ceremonies was beloved Old Boy Peter Pentz, who livened up the evening with his energetic commentary and anecdotes. The crowd was further

entertained by the magic of PG Engelbrecht who left them laughing out loud. The expert judging panel included twins Josh and Nathan Swart (Old Boys and entrepreneurs), Lena Lisa Retief (designer) and Anna-Mart Rabie (model and designer). Soos gewoonlik moes die finaliste aan die gehoor en beoordelaars wys wat dit beteken om in vandag se samelewing ’n ware heer te wees. Elke finalis het ’n vraag uit ’n hoed getrek wat gehandel het oor hoe die verlede en tradisies steeds vandag gebruik kan word om waarlik stylvol te

wees. Die finaliste het hierdie vraag in ’n stemopname beantwoord wat tydens die vertoning gespeel is. Die stemopname en video’s het getuig van stylvolle jong manne met wie die skool kan spog en op wie hulle kan trots wees. The aim of identifying a young man as Mr Style, therefore, is not to find a Mr Boishaai with a pretty face, but to find a young man who truly is a gentleman living a balanced life as a learner of our illustrious school. Paarl Boys’ High would therefore like to thank all who took part in the event and contributed to its success.
