The Duck Race

THE DUCK RACE The Duck Race is a new fundraising initiative put together for the UK and Ireland Sports Tour (rugby, hockey and water polo) taking place in December 2024. Ducks were sold by the boys going on the tour; a portion of the proceeds went to the Tour General account that is spent on the boys whilst on tour and the rest went straight back to the boys’ personal accounts to use as pocket money. The boys let the ducks loose and then floated down the Berg River with them. All ducks were numbered and the winning duck crossed the finish line in the Berg River next to the Paarl Rugby Club, the owner of the victorious duck being awarded a prize. All ducks were safely retrieved from the river!
