As the sports season comes to a close at Paarl Boys’ High School, our First Aid team reflects on a busy yet rewarding few months. Throughout the season, we were actively involved in providing immediate care during various sports events, ensuring the safety and well-being of our athletes. Our main highlights included Interschools against Grey College, Wynberg Boys’ High School, Rondebosch Boys’ High School, Bishops Diocesan College, Paul Roos Gymnasium, SACS, Oakdale, Stellenberg and of course the biggest event of the Western Cape sports calendar – the Interschools vs Gim. We would like to thank our

gentlemen who sacrificed their time to assist the medical staff from the sidelines. From hockey to athletics, mountain biking to rugby and just about anything in between. Our first aid team made sure that we had enough capable hands available for any emergency. Overall, the season highlighted the crucial role of first aid in sports, not just in preventing serious injuries but also in fostering a culture of safety and preparedness within our school community. As we prepare for future events, our team is committed to continuous training and improvement, ensuring we’re always ready to support our athletes.
