Hengel Wiehan de Swardt (graad 12) was lid van die Westelike Provinsie o. 19A-varswater hengelspan wat 12-14 Desember in uiters uitdagende omstandighede aan die SA hengelkampioenskap te Bloemhof in Noord-Wes deelgeneem het. Die WP-span wen vir die eerste keer in die geskiedenis goud in die Presidenteafdeling. Wiehan en vier van sy WP spanmaats is ook genooi om aan die SA proewe deel te neem wat op 16 en 17 Desember plaasgevind het.

Sea and Sand

A cohort of twenty-two students completed the rigorous Sea and Sand life-saving course in Hermanus during their vacation. They secured the illustrious Victor Ludorum award for the eighth time in the past decade. Established in 1971 by the visionary Sparks Esterhuysen, the National Sea Strand Institute stands as an institution dedicated to moulding young minds with an emphasis on values such as responsibility and courtesy. Over the years, the institute’s steadfast commitment

to these principles has manifested through its extensive courses and camps, meticulously curated to deliver specialised nature and ocean education for individuals of all ages. Progressing into a highly respected entity, the institute’s influence extends even to the training of the navy and army. The exceptional feat of securing eight Victor Ludorum awards in the past ten years underscores the commitment of students as well as educators at Paarl Boys’ High.

Powerlifting Congratulation to Thomas Hickman and Keagan Lombard for taking part in the Western Cape Powerlifting Champs. Both obtained gold medals.
