karat e On the biggest karate stage, the World Championships in Konya in October 2022, results unfortunately did not go Kyle Corbellari’s way (he is in Gr 9A). He was eliminated in the second round, losing to Australia who ended seventh overall of 106 countries. Kyle has now moved up 24 places to 72nd in the world, reaching this in less than two years on the world stage. S e e e n s and Over the years see en sand has developed and continuously crafted their unique 7-day intensive lifesaving course programme which equips students with an in-depth understanding of the ocean. The course focuses on: • Reading and understanding waves, breakers, currents and tides. • Identifying safe or dangerous beaches. • What actions to take if you or someone is caught in a current. W I N T E RHO E K - S TA P T O G Mnr S Visagie het vanjaar vir ons leerders ’n staptog in die Groot Winterhoek-wildernisgebied gereël. Die personeel en leerders het met groot entoesiasme van dié geleentheid gebruik gemaak. Benewens die lekker kameraadskap en fisieke uitdagings, is daar ook baie ervaring opgedoen rakende aspekte soos veldkuns, waagmoed, vasbyt en kosmaak in die veld. Mooi vriendskappe is gesmee en baie lewenslesse is geleer.

T O U T R E K Agtien van ons leerders het aan toutrek en vele kompetisies deelgeneem, so ook aan die W P/ Wynland en aan die SAs in Malmesbury. By die SAs was daar 320 spanne ingeskryf en ons kinders het goed presteer.
