Music SHOULD STRIKE fire FROM THE heart

Ludwig van Beethoven said, “Music should strike fire from the heart of man, and bring tears from the eyes of women.” These words have been proven by 2017’s music students and teachers alike. Our musicians are passionate about their instruments, be it the classical piano, jazz saxophone, rock guitar or anything in between. Our mission is to give our students the opportunity to experience a wide variety of instruments and genres, and to give exposure at various events. We have grown considerably, not

only in capacity, but also in the quality of lessons and concerts. Our music groups – Cantare, the wind band, drumline and serenade group – are filled with dedicated young men, proving that Boys’ High really does offer balance. A sincere vote of thanks to all the music staff, and a warm word of welcome to our new brass teacher and band leader, Mr Reghardt Kühn.
