The Boland Schools Prestige Meeting took place as part of Boland Athletics Preparation for the 2017 ASA Youth and Junior Championships. Paarl Boys’ High entered three athletes. On the day of the meeting the Boland as well as the SA Youth record in the pole vault for boys U17 was 4,80 m. Ekhardt van der Watt, the current record holder, impoved his record by clearing a formidable height of 4,85 m. This is also a new school record.
