OLD MUTUAL INTERNATIONAL BPL Thanks to the hard work of Ds Theo Hay and his committee of organisers and fundraisers the BPL was a great success. New innovations this year included prize money for crowd catches. The tournament took place over three days and ten sponsored teams took part. Guest of honour for the Gala Dinner was Mr Brian McMillan, who entertained the 250 guests in a Q & A session. Most of the games were closely fought and many went down to the last over. The final was no different. The eventual winners were Feedem, captained by Shaun Fouché. Daniёl du Plessis, the batsman of the tournament , was unable to hit the last ball of the game for the 6 needed to win it for Mugg & Bean. Achille Cloete was the bowler of the tournament. All proceeds go towards Phase 2 of the development of the Centre of Excellence.
