PHOTO 116. Total dieback (within three weeks) with the retention of brown, dead leaves, is very characteristic of Phytophthora.

PHOTO 117. Characteristic of Phytophthora is that dead leaves and bunches remain on the grapevine for a long time. Note the abundance of weeds, which may be indicative of wet soil conditions.
