A s is the case worldwide, the correct identification of abnormality induced vineyard problems are also locally seen as of critical importance so that all stakeholders in the industry can be empowered to act timely and effectively, in terms of preventative measures and in conjunction with control and/or rectifying strategies. Against this background this publication could play a significant role as reference document for students, producers, consultants, technical field advisors and managers while new entrants to the industry and even more experienced colleagues should also find it very helpful. From an overarching viewpoint it is believed that the information in this guideline could make a contribution to the effective management of environmentally friendly, sustainable and profitable vineyard cultivation in South Africa.
