PHOTO 360. A further example of the situation shown in Photo 359 – in which case a boll-worm larva emerges from the berry, thereby revealing a hole that had been eaten right through.
PHOTO 361. This fully grown leaf roller caterpillar is not averse to feeding on a tendril. Note that the clearly visible spots behind the head do not function as ‘seeing eyes’; these only serve to deter natural enemies.
