Erinose.
PHOTO 324. Characteristic protrusions (galls) on the upper sides of leaves as created by the feeding of erinose mites underneath the leaves. Not to be confused with the leaf form of phylloxera.
PHOTO 325. A typical example where young, individual galls (as in Photo 324) underneath the leaves are richly endowed with white, hairy growths in particular indentations (hollows). Not to be confused with downy mildew.
